Precap 1/30-1/31 : A big day in the B-12, as well as KSU-Kansas Recap It was a big day for the MEAC and SWAC, as some of the best teams in these conferences played each other to shake up the standings. MEAC: Every team in the MEAC played yesterday, and 2 of the games were between 2 top 5 teams. Tied first-place Maryland Eastern-Shore beat formerly third-placed Morgan State, as UMES’ Nathaniel Pollard and Kevon Voyles combined for 29 points. The two top preseason teams also played each other, as preseason #1 Norfolk State beat preseason #2 NC Central by 6. Howard and Delaware State also got their jobs done, beating the two worst teams in teh conference, SC State and Coppin State. Howard and UMES are still tied for first, and Norfolk State are looking like the next best team. SWAC: In the #2 vs. #3 game, Alcorn State narrowly beat Grambling. Though Grambling shot incredibly well, (51% from field and 53% from 3), Alcorn State still held on behind Dominic Brewton’s 16 points. With this win

PRECAP - 1/29-30: Shakeups in the SoCon and MVC, 3 marquee matchups and a big night in the SWAC.

Precaps 1/29-1/30 Welcome to precaps, where we will go over what happened the day before in college basketball, and what is coming today. Follow the implications, impact, and storylines of college basketball as the season goes on. Recap: There weren’t any crazy results today, though some shake-ups happened in mid-major conferences. So, let’s get right into the conferences: Big Ten: There were a lot of implications today in the Big Ten. While Purdue took care of business at home, Michigan may have been eliminated from the tournament with a 22-point loss at Penn State. The third game of the day was Iowa-Rutgers, and Iowa ended up picking up the much-needed win. Northwestern is now second in the conference, but there are 8 other teams within a game and a half of them. Big East: Though there were only 2 games today, one of them was very important as Justin Moore had his first game back from Villanova. He didn’t play very well, but Villanova lost to #23 Providence by 5, which isn’t bad at a

Week 11 College Basketball Rankings

College Basketball Top 25 Houston | Prev: 1 | Beat Cincinatt, USF | Though Houston currently is the #1 team in the country, there is some concern. That concern is their strength of schedule. They’re 1-1 in their two top 25 games this season, but are otherwise flawless. We likely won’t see them play another Top 25 team in AAC conference play, but if they stay undefeated in conference play, there shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Kansas | Prev: 2 | Beat Oklahoma, Iowa State | Though Kansas has played 7 quad 1 games, they only have one loss to a very good Tennessee team. They’ve played many of these games extremely close, playing 8 teams within 6 points. They have shown their ability to blow out some teams, but it seems they have played good defenses very close. This is something to be concerned about come March, but it hasn’t affected their record so far. Purdue | Prev: 3 | Beat Penn State, Nebraska | Purdue has some very solid wins, beating Gonzaga and Marquette, who are both top 25

Re-ranking ESPN's Top 100 Transfers - Pt. 4 - 1-25

Re-Ranking ESPN's Top 100 Transfers Today, I will be re-ranking ESPN’s preseason top 100 transfers list. My criteria for this list are as follows: Team Success (since they are transfers after all) Individual Success (numbers/stats) Fit with team (Sharing ball, shooting at high percentages/good efficiency) Playing time/impact (Worse players playing more > Better players playing backup/bench/reserve roles) For the injured 4 that were included on this list, I have replaced them with some of my own underrated picks. With that being said, I have one more thing to clarify: the “Prev” category represents what ESPN ranked that player at the start of the season. Also know that some of this information is a bit outdated, as I released each section over time. 1-25 Rankings Kendric Davis | SMU → Memphis | Prev: 1 | Not only has Davis been the best transfer in the country, he’s been debatably a top 10 player overall. At a high-major, he’s averaging 20 PPG (16th in the country), and 6 APG (10
